About

Coded Gallery collects art shaped by computation. Rules, randomness, models, and code instead of paint and pigment. It is a record of the period when this work moved on chain and a generation of artists found their medium there.

The collection began in early 2022. Like many, I entered the space through the PFP craze. Like some, I stayed for the art. The algorithms, the emergence, the generative systems that reward looking closely.

I'm a data scientist by training, so these works felt familiar from the start. Structure and chaos, encoded ideas, experiments that run until something remarkable appears. I've also collected my whole life, and digital art felt like a natural extension of that. Scarcity and culture, now carried in code.

Over time the collection grew roots in both directions. Backward, to the pioneers of the 1960s who put work on chain in their final years, and into the books, prints, and physical works that pair with the digital pieces. Forward, into deep positions in the artists I believe will define this period.
